Online course suitable for students aged approximately 10+ years.

$160 per student per 10 week term, payable before the beginning of each term.

Prerequisite skills:

  • Strong reading skills or use of appropriate accomodations
  • Writing independently or use of appropriate accommodations
  • Ability to take turns speaking and listening, or use of alternative communication methods

In this short course, we will survey several languages and scripts of the ancient world. These may include Sumerian cuneifom, Aramaic, Egyptian hieroglyphs, Sanskrit, Dharawal, Linear B, the Greek alphabet, and Latin.

Live, weekly, interactive meetings will be held via web conferencing. Meetings will be recorded for students who are unable to attend on occasion, and for review purposes.

In the online classroom, students will have access to reading materials, multimedia resources, discussion forums for sharing ideas and collaborating with peers, and instructions for independent study tasks.

Homework can be customised to suit your learner and their goals.
